So I’ve been at this Searchlight shin-dig in Gainesville, GA (AIM affiliated) for the past week.  It’s where these people really do want to help those of us who recently came off the World Race.  Why do they want to help?  Well, since being gone for a while, many racers come back and realize “What the heck am I going to do with my Life!?!”

At Searchlight they break it down to easy steps one can comprehend fairly well and apply it to their life.  The whole NEXT THING can be scary for us coming home from the ridiculous poverty and filth of the world.  Racers come back home to…what home?  Some don’t have a place to stay, car, job, clothes, and especially a direction.  After seeing and experiencing the World, we come back with a realizing or understanding an injustice in this World that does Not sit well Within Us.

Searchlight does help one come to a realization of a deep down passion or dream.  It’s true, well for me and the other 30 others while here can agree.  It might had come awaken while on the World Race, or before the Race and was more evident during the trip.

For me, I thought I had a ministry Idea and had a lot of stuff figured out.  Well, that was broken and I was brought back to square ONE.  I was able to specify exactly what passions I do have, how I can implement these passions with the skills I enjoy using, and look at already existing ministries I could partner with.

Searchlight offers plenty of support and coaching to encourage those in whatever part they may be at in building their dream/passion.  The coaches are awesome, and truly are here to offer their wisdom and advice to help those of us who are not quite sure what next step to take.  Ministry opportunities are offered to give many different paths to pursue and start making your dream or passion a reality.  Whether it’s with schools to further you learning needs or ministries to serve under that are similar to your passions.

It’s awesome I must say, Those alumni racers now and future…I recommend it. For real.

Much Love!
