Here is the much anticipated Fundraising Update Blog! Get ready to have your world rocked by the amazingness of our AWESOME God!
To start, I wanted to make it clear that nothing about this fundraising has gone the way I thought it would. I have said it was going to be FUNdraising since day one, but I have quickly learned that it is emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausting. I have also learned to see our God for exactly what He is, AMAZING! I have watched my account grow daily and then I have watched it stay the same for days. Both times I must take a step back, look to God, and say “how can you use me and what can I do to bring you glory”; and the best part..HE ALWAYS ANSWERS! Not in the clouds open, writing on the walls kind of answers, but He moves in my heart and the hearts of donors to make my account continually grow. That being said I wanted to give you all an update on how awesome our God is and how He is specifically moving in all of you to support my fundraising account every day.
Here are my deadlines that must be met for me to continue as a World Racer:
June 29th: $3500
August 18th: $6500
December 1st: $11,000
March 1st: $15,500

As of today, I have $7662.84 in my WR account, which means I can launch in September!

It gets better!
As of today, I also have $6,355 promised in future monthly donations!
That makes a total of…
$14,017!
so…as of today, July 12th, I am $1,483 away from being fully funded on the World Race!
There are no words to express how thankful I am for my donors. Each one of you has played an instrumental part in getting me to this point. You may never know it but the timing of every donation was perfectly planned by God and your gift came just when I needed it.
Some of my squadmates and I are reading Draw the Circle, the 40 day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson and the other day I read something that made me think of all my supporters. The chapter was on personal prophets who had the right words or actions to change the course of someone’s life. These words jumped off the page…“You don’t have to influence thousands of lives to make a difference. Maybe you’re called to influence one person who will influence thousands…God gets all the glory for everything He does in us and through us, but there are people along the way who get some credit as well.”
Supporters, Donors, Friends, Family in Christ…YOU get the credit for this $14,017! You are bringing all the glory to God and are allowing me to chance to take His name and love to 11 countries.
