Hey Everybody.

First off let me say a huge thank you to all my supporters so far. I’m forever grateful for each and every one of you. I am almost to my first goal of $5000. Which is so exciting and couldn’t have been possible without your help. Thanks again. I still have a long way to go but I fully believe where God guides he provides (Isaiah 58:11).  Also I have realized that I haven’t written a blog in a little bit and that is my fault. I got a little overwhelmed with life in general, but I am here and ready to hit the ground running.

Different destination, same highway. What does that mean? In January of 2017 I was accepted into the World Race route 1 and I was suppose to leave in August. Due to unforeseen circumstances and not raising the needed amount of money to go to training camp I decided to push back my race to January 2018. This decision did not come without a lot prayer. I was crushed I really felt that this route and this time was when I needed to go. My teammates were crushed because we had all grown so much closer as each day passed. We talked everyday and it was so hard to say goodbye to them. They were family that I loved and had never met. I kept asking God why call me to this and me not be able to go? Did I do something wrong? Did I hear wrong? All these questions just kept flooding my mind. I just kept praying and finally after about a week I just felt a peace about it. I really feel that God has called me to this new route. I have been at peace about the new route and new team ever since. Things are falling into place the way God had planned. I was just to stubborn to see that.  I am so excited and can’t wait to see what God has in store for this new route.  So because I switched routes obviously the destinations have changed. I’m so excited to announce that I will be going to Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda. All these can change for any reason if Adventures In Missions(the organization I’m going with) feels it is unsafe or any other reason. For now though this is where I’m going.

Even though I am going in January I am still raising the money which is 18,100 total. This number is daunting to me and is the reason I was hesitant for awhile, but with God all things are possible. This money covers all my food, travel, lodging, insurance, and misc. that I might need for the entire year. All the money that I have raised before moved over with me to this route. As I take this large step in trusting the Lord, will you prayerfully consider donating to me. You can donate through this blog at the top, click the donate button and it will walk you through the steps. It takes less than a minute. You can also send a check to Adventures In Missions P.O. Box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570. Crystal Poston in the memo line.

Also the biggest and most important thing is prayer. Will you please be in prayer with me leading up to and on the race. Please pray that I will glorify God in all that I do and say. That those here and abroad will see Christ in and through me. That I can be the hands and feet of Jesus. I’m so excited for journey that God has called me on. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Thanks so much for the prayers and support. I am going to be more consistent with blogs and it wont be so long before the next one. I am learning to be more vulnerable. The Lord has me on a journey, growing closer to him. A journey to be a part of going into the world and making disciples for Christ. My heart is overflowing with anticipation of what the trip will do for so many lives including my own.                ….FUNDRAISERS COMING SOON!!!!!
