I’m Amber Kay and I’m 21 years old. I honestly can not believe I am going to be a world racer. It has been something I’ve felt called to do for about 4 years and it’s actually happening now.
I adore traveling. Nothing makes my heart happier then to be on my way to a new place. It has always been a passion of mine.
I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee and moved for the first time 3 years ago to Birmingham, Alabama.
Coffee is a passion of mine and I am fully addicted to caffeine, I hope to break that addiction while on the World Race.
I am a barista at Starbucks and love my job.
I’m not really an athletic person at all. The only active things I claim doing are mild hikes and running to make a frappuccino at work.
I am super sarcastic and can’t take too much of anything seriously.
I am 100% an introvert, but I do enjoy quality time spent with people I love. I am a really independent person and usually complete whatever I set my mind to.
Weaknesses of mine are not being that outgoing when I first meet you, responding to text, comparing myself to others, not being able to express my emotions, and interrupting people. These are all things I am trying to work on on a daily (weekly) basis.
I thank God that He has changed me from being a pessimist to optimist, it makes life so much better.
I don’t really know what the next year or the years to come are going to hold, but I know they are going to be so much more then I can ever imagine.
