sinking into stale confinement.
in the struggle, i flip. now i’m flying,
not for long.
my wings fail while the ground forces itself to risen peaks.
flailing, i’m falling.
rest. my soul saved. new hands.
my eyes spring tears, but my spirit is smiling above.
above water; i’m floating.
rising into new openness.
eyes wide open; i am free!
in this flow, i lie. now i’m sleeping,
not for long.
my body clothed while the ground fades itself into softened sheets.
covered, i’m home.
