Fundraising: it’s not as FUN as I thought, but it has been how God is RAISING my faith in Him…. So, I’ve come to realize fundraising can be stressful, time consuming, and nowhere near as fun as I thought it would be. However, through the stress, God is working through me. I really thought fundraising was going to be fun and only a little stressful. HA! Was I wrong! Now, don’t get me wrong it’s had its moments of excitement, but I can’t say that for all of it.

Just the other night, a friend asked me how fundraising was going and I wanted to burst into tears out of complete stress and anxiety. Personally, money and talking about money has always caused me stress and angst, but raising money is a whole new level of stress for me. Trust is also something I struggle with, so having to trust in God 100% on this fundraising is a bit of a challenge.

       So, the other day, my mom noticed my level of stress, and started to encourage me by giving         me this set of verses to help my stress over the whole fundraising situation.

       Upon going to bed, I received this text, 1 Peter 5:7. “Pour out all your worries and stress upon  Him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you.” That one was a biggie for me because I do have trouble “pouring out” ALL of my worries upon Him. And I do think that is the biggest part of this trip for me; is to just trust Him 100% through every little bit of the process!
Then as I awoke, looking into my reflection, I found this verse she wrote o the mirror… 2 Corinthians 9:8 “God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you can imagine so that you’ll be taken care of and ready to share and do his work!” Now that one was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. It was such a reassurance that I WILL raise this money and be taken care of by Him through it all!

I want to close with encouraging you with the same truth I was encouraged with: Whatever your struggle is right now, whether it be financial, emotional or anything else. God is going to OVERWHELM you with blessings and you will be taken care of! He loves me, and He Loved you. HE SEES US AND LONGS TO CARE FOR OUR NEEDS AND DESIRES!
