My name is Nickolas Isaiah Carter, and I am a child of The One True King. I go by my middle name Isaiah, and most people call me Zay. I am also a child of two amazing and loving parents along with my big sister and her husband who are also some of my best friends. Of the many wonderful things I was taught by my family, I’m definitely most grateful that I was raised to love God, and love all people. That is how I try to live every moment of my life.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio around a great church family, and I was blessed with many great mentors and friends. I played sports, loved to create through writing and art, and tried to be a friend to everyone. I was born with an adventurous soul and the desire to pursue my God without fear.

I studied English with a focus in creative writing and a minor in film at the University of Louisville for three years before God called me to take a break from the world academia to regain focus on my relationship with Him. I currently work at an amazing Christ-Centered company called Prasco where I’m able to serve the Lord by helping maintain a baseball stadium used for community outreach and God’s Glory.

I’m also an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team at Miami Valley Christian Academy. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to be around the game I love while mentoring to young men and encouraging them on the court, as well as in their faith.

This past summer, I was able to go on mission trips to Puerto Rico and Belize. It was so rewarding to see God use gardening and basketball for the growth of His kingdom as avenues to share His love and help others. These trips shaped my heart for missions, and lit a fire in me to constantly pursue the Lord and share his hope in the world.

My prayer for the World Race is that we are able to share the Hope and Love of Christ with those who need it most. Through our actions and words, I pray that we are able to reflect Christ, glorify and make Him known, and impact the lives of others through Him.
