I want to start this blog off by tell you the story of my baptism. I was on a mission trip to Dallas Texas to help the homeless (the only mission trip I have been on other than the World Race). The host Home I stayed at had a pool in the back yard and we all hung out there in the back yard. On one of the last days we decided to have a worship night. While we where worshiping my youth pastor, CJ, noticed one of the older kids was unable to move. We all started to sing Amazing Grace and praying. I realized that something bad was happening but I wasn’t sure what was going on till later. At first I was terrified but then a sense of peace came over me. In this moment I saw one of my friends and he was scared so I went to talk to him. He was the first person that I had ever led to Christ. After I realized that the kid that was unable to move had an evil spirit inside of him. He was released of the evil spirit. Soon afterwards CJ said that he felt like doing baptisms even though our parents were 5 hours away. I felt like I should do it so I did. When I made the decision to do so I was barely able to walk. But once I was baptized I was able to walk again. So that’s my baptism story. Now I wanted to tell this story so that you didn’t think this next story can only happen in Africa. So I was supposed to be in the high schools teaching but all the classes got canceled. So we joined with the rest of the team in a community called Zanspruit. I was in a group of Kelsey (a girl on Vessel) and 2 translators. After talking at a couple houses we came to a man that seemed uncomfortable with 4 people there so one of the translators went to talk to him while we stood to the side unseen. Being the only guy in my group I checked on the translator a couple of times. The last time I checked on her there was another lady there with her. As soon as I saw her she locked up and fell out in a demonic spirit. I looked at the other 2 and waved them over. I went in and began to pray. Now I tell this next part to show what God taught me through this moment not to make you think I did it. As I was I praying I realized that I was praying in my head. I felt I should be praying out loud to tell the demon to leave but still filled with fear I just started mounting the words to my prayer but not speaking. About 10 minuets had past by now. I thought to myself again I need to pray out loud. This time I started repeating “I command you to leave in the name of Jesus” in a matter of seconds after I started saying this the demon left and she was free. After we got her up and sitting she gave her life to Christ along with 4 others including her husband. My Squad Leader told me that when the devil sees that your about to move a mountain he will put fear in our hearts. I just want to tell this story to show that God is still moving today he’s not asleep. He is awake and working hard. And to close if you ask to pray the worst that can happen is they say no and if you pray the worst that can happen is nothing. There is no moving backwards you will stay the same or move forwards.

Thank you for reading.
