“God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called.”

My name is Zahli Hayden, I’m currently a senior in high school & as I’m headed into the next chapter of my life, I couldn’t be more excited to share with you about it.
Well folks- after a whole lot of prayer & consideration, I have decided to take a gap year, serving and traveling to five different countries. I’ll be living out of a backpack for 9 months. I’ll be leaving all my friends, and normal routine of going straight to college after high school behind. I won’t eat chickfila for 9 months either (crazy- I know!!!). My team and I will be doing different forms of ministry such as working with orphans, teaching English, planting churches, feeding victims of natural disasters, ministering to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, staying sensitive to any form of simple service that the Lord desires us to do…all while preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’ll be headed to Swaziland, Lesotho, India, Nepal, and Nicaragua. I am thrilled, nervous, excited, and worried (& so many other emotions) all at once. I’m leaving the comforts of America, my close friends, and my family, and embarking on an adventure that will consume the next part of my life.

I’ve felt called to do this. Missions have always meant a lot to me, but this is different. The thought of living as a missionary and spreading the love and the light of the gospel enthralled me. I found this organization, the World Race, through one of my friends a couple years ago and it’s been on my heart ever since.

I seriously cannot express my gratitude for the Lord calling me into this adventure and I have no doubt that when He calls, He provides. I am humbly asking if you would consider partnering with me in prayer, but of course I am in need of financial support as well. I must raise nearly $15,000 for this ministry opportunity, which will cover all of my expenses while on the field (housing, travel, food, insurance, and all other needs). While that number may seem huge, each dollar is really being raised so that people across the nations may be served as Christ served and loved as He loved, and by praying with me, and/or giving financially, you also become a part of this super crazy thing that God is doing and that I get to be apart of. I believe God is at work all the time, and this is where he’s sending me next. My favorite author, Bob Goff, says to say yes to God & what he calls you too- I’m pumped for what’s coming. Thank You for taking the time to read this, seriously!

Wooooohoooooooo!!!!
So much love, Zahli Hayden
(PS: please reach out to me with any questions, I’m thrilled to talk about anything regarding my race)
