Life update:

First off, I want to entirely apologize for being brutally MIA recently. Blogging is hard for me, as I am not much of a huge writer. BUT; I do want to update everyone on life as I know it.

My time in Nepal FLEW by, (well, except the times I couldn’t escape the toilet because of my parasite.) Other than the sickness that my teammates and I all faced, I loved Nepal.
We spent our days doing a lot of different things, including working with women in bars, teaching English in government schools, and speaking in churches in the city and mountain side. Being in the bars was my favorite although it brought a lot of darkness to light. (Please read anniesblog about this. It explains it in words better than I could ever fathom.) We had opportunities to create friendships with woman who we’re secretly being bought by men who came into the bars. We we’re able to show them life outside of the bars, and share about life with Jesus. We then spent 2 weeks on the side of a mountain in a town named Gorkha. We slept in tents, played a whole lot of cards, hiked to rivers and villages, and spoke life to mountain side churches.

We arrived in Nicaragua after 4 flights, and a 12 hour layover in Chicago. (Side note: Chicago is SO fun!)
I LOVED Nicaragua. We we’re only there for a short 12 days, but we had new opportunities each day to serve people and seek the Lord. I got a volunteer job at an ice-cream shop scooping ice-cream to help the employees and serve the business in that way. We painted and did crafts at a school for children with disabilities, so they could sell them and bring profit to their school. I also had the wild opportunity to surf for the first time and swim in a volcano crater.

I’m now spending the last season of this journey here in Guatemala, living with my whole squad. My team is teaching English, doing construction projects, and working in the garden of a nearby school called Loving Arms. I have been here for 3 weeks now, and have a little under 2 months until I get home. I’ve decided to share short stories for my blogs while in Guatemala, and will try to post those as often as I can. God has been doing a lot here, and I am so excited to share what’s been happening!

Please holler at me if you have questions or just want to talk. My email is [email protected]
Happy Monday Friends!
