If you are new to this blog welcome. I hope to give you a look into what I am doing on the World Race and the importance of living out Matthew 28:18-20 as missional disciplemakers.
First a brief update as to what is going on with my squad. We are in Panama!!! We also have had a few route changes but nothing major. First due to the civil unrest in Nicaragua we are no longer going there, instead we will be going to Guatemala!!! Also at the end of the Route instead of going to Indonesia and Malaysia due to the earthquake in Indonesia we will now be going to Malaysia then finishing in Indonesia. My route currently looks like this: Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia. With all of that said lets dive into what this thing is looking like at the current time.
My team and I currently live in a house in Las Lajas, Panama and we work with our hosts Danny and Heather who are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We are doing ministry in a little town of native people called Oma and we live at the beach and do beach ministry when we aren’t in Oma. We also are a part of a church plant that meets on Thursdays and Sundays. This is a group that does so much life together and loves each other so very well. I love these people with all of my heart. I see so much joy that it over flows on to me and in my life and I can’t wait to hear all of their stories.
Ways you can be praying for us are for our Spanish as it all starts to come back. Pray for the church plant as we try to start a Women’s ministry so that Women are empowered as most of the mothers in the church are younger than we are. Pray for a kid named Moses in Oma as he is deaf Heather has been teaching him sign language and for all the kids special needs kids in Oma. Thank God for all the support that has come in so far. I have been blessed with $12,652 thus far and I still need about $5,400.
