How can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Let’s take Apple for an example. Apple is one of the largest electronic stores ever, but what would happen if they came out with a brand new IPhone and said nothing about it. No advertisements, no press releases, nobody talking about, not releasing it to stores, and hiding it away from the public eye? Would they sell millions of this brand new iPhone or would nothing happen? Would it sit on the per verbial shelf and collect dust?
This is what the Gospel is doing in many countries of the world. We, the Christians, have this life-changing, chain-breaking, Word of God in our hands. We take it and use it in many places in the world, but what about the dangerous closed countries that say no that Book is not aloud here. Did God say to go to every safe nation, every comfortable nation, or every easy country? No, He said “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
All nations means every nation, tongue, culture, and people. In today’s world, a five year can send a message to his mom or dad on the literal other side of the planet in a matter of seconds. However, 40% of the world has never even heard of who Jesus is.
Christians get up in arms about things that doesn’t really matter in the eye of eternity. Politics, what the person on the other side of the aisle looks like according to their preconceived notion of what a Christian should look like, which version of the Bible a person uses, or any other number of things that doesn’t really matter.
Yet, we seemly forget about the 3 billion people that have never even heard John 3:16, something even most atheists can recite from memory because it is so entrained into our memory. How does something like this happen, and more importantly why do we continue to allow it?
How can Christians let this happen? Do we even care? Of course we care but do we care more about where we will spend our next vacation than the 3 billion souls that are dying on a one way street to eternal torment and separation from Jesus Christ?
I’m not trying to judge anybody for that is not my place. “Judge not lest you be judged”, however, how can I stand by anymore as these people die without ever knowing about Jesus who has changed my life so very much? We have been given a gift to live in this country, with all of its benefits and freedoms, yet we squander the gift that God gave us by standing idly by while this happens.
It’s long past time for this country’s Christians, in fact all nation’s Christians, to wake up out of our safe slumber and march around our very own Jericho 7 times until the walls fall down and victory is accomplished! The walls that the Enemy has set up around these nations are nothing against the all-powerful God that lives inside each and every Christian.
It’s time to get and march. Will you march or will you continue sleeping while the Enemy continues to fortify his walls? Will you continue to sleep while he takes the initiative and try’s to break down your walls? He has already broken some of them.
This Enemy never sleeps, never stops, and never gives up in his goal. To destroy all things related to Jesus Christ. So I ask you again, are you willing to take up your cross and march around Jericho 7 times while those inside Jericho mocks and taunts you, even hates you.
