Last year I had the privilege of partnering with an organization called Adventures in Missions to go on their World Race Gap Year program. I went to Thailand, Malaysia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador over the course of 9 months to spread the Gospel and love of Jesus across the nations. Before going on this mission trip, I knew I felt lead to evangelize across the States and encourage the Body of Christ here in the United States. I had no idea how I would manage to make that possible though. Eventually the Lord lead me to World Race Gap Year and told me that it was to prepare me for the ministries He would call me into in the future. I followed God through this process and while on my Race, Adventures in Missions launched out a pilot mission trip here in the states called World Race America. Basically the vision is to partner with local ministries in communities and evangelize across the States, while also encouraging our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. After lots of prayer and consideration, God made it very clear to me that I was suppose to join them and that He was fulfilling those desires He put on my heart some time ago. Now I am currently with the group or squad as we call it and I have already seen so much of God’s faithfulness in this trip. From the people we have met and been able to bless and be blessed by, to the ministries we have been able to do like outreach to the homeless and to the crippled, I know that this is where God wants me to be. I have already seen Him provide for my last trip and how He has already been providing for this trip as well through people generously giving back what the Lord has blessed them with. Mark 16:15 tells us to go into all the nations and preach the Gospel, but we should never neglect the needs of our own country and I believe that my country needs Jesus just like everyone else.
