Traveling around the world I’ve come to a very sad realization that hits close to home. Every single month so far we’ve met multiple people with one thing missing in there life. One thing missing that I pray against everyday and that I actually thank God that I have. One thing missing that I actually look foward to God leading me into that ministry in mighty ways. A father.
It’s so sad to me that so many kids grow up not knowing there father, either spiritually or earthly. A good earthly father is there for you to help you through everything. My father was always there in every thing I did, no matter what dream I was chasing and no matter what trouble I was getting into. There were times where I’m sure he wanted to smack me upside the head but it never went without a message behind it. He would scold me but in a loving way, he would teach me and stay consistent and never frustrated no matter how many times it took me to get it.
It literally breaks my heart knowing that people don’t know that same love. Knowing that dad’s out there beat there kids, ignore there kids, don’t support there kids, or just aren’t there for there kids in anyway. Look around you today, actually look around you everyday and see how many kids are fatherless. Take the time and be a father to the fatherless, it just takes a few minutes to make there day and to make them feel loved for at least a few minutes out of there day.
A male figure in a kids life can make the biggest difference that you would never expect. I’ve learned that within a few hugs a fatherless kid will love and remember you forever, it will literally make there day more than you think. Please, if you’re a father it is your privilege and duty to wake up every single day and love your kid no matter what it takes. If you know the pain of not having a father don’t take it out on anyone else. Be the one to make the change and allow them to feel loved.
Happy Fathers day to my bro, broski, dude, gym partner, teacher, and most importantly dad. Happy Fathers to our spiritual father and to all the other father’s out there!
