First off I’d like to say that what I’m about to type out will not amount to what it’s like in person, but by God I’m going to try. Our first day to ministry we were welcomed by about 20 orphaned little girls. They all had signs that said welcome and they even helped us take our bags into the house. Sweet right? Just wait. We were told dinner was at 5:20 and worship was at 7(get the tissues close by).

They begin by playing this fun dance song that we join in followed by several other worship songs. Now I don’t speak Thai but I could feel the spirit within the vicinity. After a few songs they put the instruments away and get in choir position. Imagine 20 or so little orphan girls ages 5-18 in choir position, singing there little hearts out praising the Lord. My hearts already overwhelmed with the love I can tell they have for the Lord and the sensational amount of joy they individually have. Out of no where they pull out 7 bouquets of flowers for me and my 6 other team mates and come running with so much joy and emotion to hand them to us.

Just when we think it’s over they bust out this amazing skit to The Revelation Song By Kari Jobe. WiFi isn’t the greatest here so I’ll upload it later for everyone to watch. With all of this happening I look around to my teammates and they all look so caught up in the moment and beyond words. When they finally finished we got up and cheered them on and then introduced ourselves. Even during our intros I felt like we needed to bust out a musical number! We thanked all the kids and went back to our chairs to start stacking them up for the night. Did I mention the goodnight hugs? No? Well after the songs, the skits and the flowers every single one of the kids told us goodnight AND gave us all goodnight hugs!

If that’s not hospitality and a welcome party I don’t know what is! I have so many blogs to write about this place and so many stories about the love that we’ve witnessed here. We’ve been here a few short amount of days and I’ve learned so much from these girls! With their joy and love for the Lord I’ve been hearing from Him like crazy! He’s been teaching me so much about my past and about the possible future! Who knew it would take 20 little girls to help?! God works all sorts of ways if you keep your ears and eyes open.
