Ever since me and my dad bought my Chevy Pick Up I’ve been in love with it, even when people thought it was a crappy truck and it didn’t work I still loved it. The thing about it is that yes it might look crappy to other people but I still see the beauty in it because I am the owner of it. It’s this weird two toned gray and black color with old red faded interior with a bent hood that’s a pain in the butt to open and close. It has a gas cap that’s in the worst spot possible, under the rear finder well, that use to have a lock on it until I broke the key inside the lock, but that’s for another story. It has a little bit of rust to it and a little bit of body damage to it and for the longest time it didn’t even have mufflers on it after they broke off while driving down the road making for a very loud truck. And it also broke down in a Target parking lot and my driveshaft fell off while driving down the road one night. Needless to say I’ve had a lot of issues with this truck. But even after all of the issues I’ve had I still love it and still want to drive it every single place I can.

The thing is that no matter what you look like, no matter how loud/quiet you are(and I get told I’m loud a lot), and no matter how much trouble you may or may not cause God still loves you because your His child. God is still your Father and still loves you even when you may think that He or others don’t. I struggled a lot with realizing that I am a child and a son of God and when I finally did, it brought a whole new perspective to my life. One of my favorite songs that Bekah, an amazing singer/person, at my church sings is called ‘No Longer Slaves’ by Bethel Music and there’s a line that she hits with so much passion and emotion that says “and I will stand and sing I am a child of God!” And it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it because it makes me excited to know that. Always remember that God loves you no matter how much you go through and what you do, you’re a child of God!! God loves you more than I love my truck and that’s saying something.
