The World Race is an amazing opportunity to grow in every way possible, or at least in the ways that you allow yourself to grown in. One of the biggest things that I personally struggle with and would love to grow in is my relationship with my Spiritual Father in relations to my earthly father. Me and my earthly father have an amazing relationship, we’ve been told it’s unlike any other, and I have been very fortunate in life to have that. My mom even says that we have a special secret language, I guess it’s just our strikingly handsome good looks! We go from calling each other dad and son to bro, brother, broseph, dude, along with many other nicknames. He’s taught me everything from sports related, cars related, and to school related, he’s also taught me how to live, laugh, and love. Just life in general from life lessons, to life adventures, to advice that’s helped me not do some stupid things and advice to help me through some stupid things that I have already done. I’ve once again been extremely fortunate with having the amazing relationship with my dad I have which I know a lot of people unfortunately do not. For me personally I struggle with having that kind of relationship with our Spiritual Father. I love God and have a good relationship with him, just not as good as what it could be or needs to be. I don’t go to him as much as I should as I do with my earthly father. Sometimes my dad doesn’t even have to ask me what’s wrong, we just hang out and in a weird way it gets worked out through that. And that’s the kind of relationship I long for with God, and I think we all need to long for that relationship in our father above, just hang out with him and it’ll work itself out. Obviously I know there are some things that you will need and should talk to God for Him to give you some sort of light but like our earthly father who we hang out with no matter the good or bad situation, we should hang out with God on our bad days and especially on our good days! That being said I’ve been able to use the same love that God AND my dad has given to me to love others here in Serbia. My main goal for this trip is to be able to spread so much love that it makes people want to do the same thing. Whether that’s spreading God’s word and love or being a “father figure” to someone who hasn’t had one in there life, but hopefully I can do both! God has blessed me with Him and His son and an amazing earthly dad and I want to bless others in the same way!
