Well training camp is officIally out of the way and all I have to say is WOW! There are so many different emotions as to how I feeL, such as excited, pumped, joyful, happy, amazed, and literally all of the abOve! I learned a lot of things oVer the last 10 days during several activities at camp and got a lot of motivation for sEveral blogs which is awesome! But I will have to say that probably the weirdest place I’ve gotten motivation for a bloG was while taking a shower. Now this isn’t sOme average and normal everyDay shower, showers at training camp included a measuring cup and a 5 gallon bucket with a water hose around the side to fill it up with. Now this is where things start to get strange, Jesus is like a 5 gallon bucket shower with a measuring cup, this is weird to say I know but please hear me out! The first time I showered the water that I poured on me with those first few cups were all freezing cold, like a shock to the system, a wake up call, a 5 gallon cold water wake up call. I thought to myself “Wow these showers this week are going to be tough.” But the more I just let it be and quit trying to fight it and just let it happen the easier and easier it got to me. It got to the point where I actually enjoyed them and if I had any water left over I would literally dump the whole bucket on my head. The times I accepted it were the best and most refreshing times! Now don’t get me wrong there were still some times that were cold, just as when life gets hard, but I got it out of my head and just kind of went with it and quit trying to fight it just to make it harder on myself. Jesus is a wake up call in the beginning of finding yourself with him, a shock to the body/mind most of the times. You can fight him all day long but you’re only going to make it harder on yourself. The quicker you just accept Jesus into your life(like the ice cold water) the easier it becomes both physically and emotionally. So my advice to you is to simply accept Jesus and embrace him, embrace him like a nice cold shower. It may be hard at times but than again you might even find it refreshing at times! Choose to make your life harder if you want but I like the easier path with Jesus by my side! That being said, Bring Your Own Bucket and a measuring cup and just love Jesus as He loves you!
