Dear loved ones and friends, You are receiving this letter because you are an important person in my life and I am truly thankful for the relationship God has allowed me to have with you. Thank you for taking the time to read this and allowing God to speak to you through this. Please, before you read this, I would ask that you pray that you accept whatever the Holy Spirit desires you to hear in this. As you who know me know, Jesus constantly sends me around the world to teach me more of who He is(or remind me when I've forgot!) and to allow me to teach others. My heart is entirely devoted to making disciples of all nations. So I go.
Starting in January 2012, I will be leaving for an eleven month mission trip to visit eleven different countries with around thirty five God-called servants of Christ called The World Race. This organization has been around for many years and is connected with Adventures in Missions which was started in 1989. I have labeled the countries I will be visiting and a short summary of what we will be doing in each country on the next two pages. Feel free to read them and learn the great journey Christ is sending me on. This is such an amazing opportunity for me to really live like Christ by abandoning material things and reaching cultures and societies that we could never experience in the US, while sharing the Good News of the Lord. Christ never said that Christianity was supposed to be comfortable but he did command us to, "…Go and make disciples of all nations…(Matthew 28:19)" I am so excited for the change my Father is going to make in me and the change he is going to bring to others through me. "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.(Matthew 10:8)" This is the command our Lord Jesus Christ gave us and I for one do not want to ignore it.
Those of you who have heard my stories already know that God has allowed me to witness and be a part of miraculous physical and mental healings, and the driving out of demonic entities. I have seen the power of the Holy Spirit and I am hungry for more of His miracles. The World Race fully acknowledges the gifts the Lord has given us and embraces the calling upon of these miracles while on the field. Before we begin we will participate in a training camp of sorts where we will meet all the members of our team, be informed of the cultural do's and don'ts of each country we visit, and call upon the Spirit of the Lord to prepare us for the spiritual battle we are about to embark on. During the journey we are going to be spreading the Word of God through our words and actions in orphanages, slums, and even in locations involved in human sex trafficking. We will go by faith and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in order to spread as much of the Father's Love as is needed to awaken the dormant souls of the peoples in which we will be visiting.
As many of you also know, I am not perfect. Not even close. With that I am incredibly excited for what God is going to do and change in me in order to bring me closer in my relationship with Him. Since I had known I was to go on this mission I have been trying hard to prepare my heart to accept everything the Lord wants to do in me, no matter how difficult; I will accept. Throughout all of this I will, with no doubt, need all of your prayers, and that, I truly believe will be the most helpful thing you can provide for me. For as Paul instructed, "You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.(2 Corinthians 1:11)"
With that being said, I also need your support financially. This is not going to be a regular plead for your money, however. I have to raise $15,500.00 by the time I am six months into my journey and I must have half of that by the time the journey begins. The Lord has already told me that He is going to provide everything and therefore I am not worried and I am not going to ask you for a specific amount of money. I want this to be something that brings both of us closer to our Christ; me by my faith and you by your obedience. Therefore, all I am going to ask of you is that you take some time to pray about what the Lord wants you to do. Then after, I want you to give(or not give) whatever amount of money the Holy Spirit has asked of you(or not asked of you). No more, no less. The Lord will provide, so this is less of a plea and more of a desire to involve you on my spiritual journey by joining with you in Christ. Sound good? Good.
