I am the worst at thinking about things to write down about myself! It’s always difficult for myself to come up with a paragraph describing me. Such a broad topic right?! Well, instead of sitting here and think of a bunch of ways to form this about me section I thought I’d do something a bit different and list twelve fun facts about myself! Hopefully by the end of this you feel like you know me a bit better!
1. I am an Orlando Native. We’re very rare and hard to come by but I am proud to call the 407 my hometown.
2. I’m a Texan at heart. I spent years flip flopping between Orlando and Texas and that place holds a huge place in my heart. It is God’s Country. It truly shaped the man I am today.
3. I am one out of nine children!
4. If you scrolled through my Spotify you’d be shocked to see the wide range of diversity in music from Aaron Watson to The Rocket Summer it’s very all over the board.
5. I got hit by a car as a pedestrian and survived. There’s an interesting story of Christ wrecking your life and plans. Literally.
6. The ocean is my home away from home. I love a good beach day and being in the sun. Salt and Sun is one of the greatest combos the good Lord has given us.
7. Summer Camp is something I hold so dear in my heart. It has shaped my life in so many ways. From camper to lifeguard and counselor, the summers spent on camp grounds are so dear to my heart.
8. Mexican food, Pizza and donuts are a food group of mine entitled “Treat yo self”
9. Breakfast is my favorite meal and coffee is an amazing sidekick to breakfast and they both rock.
10. I love driving. Theres a weird calmness about your aux cord and a long drive. Its reviving.
11. I love to write letters. I love to encourage friends through snail mail!
12. I once went to a 24/7 worship event and stayed there all night and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.
Why am I going on The World Race?
I am going on The World Race because I have felt the conviction to go for a long time now. My life has been very different form my peers. I never attended college or even graduated from high school for that matter. I don’t know what its like to take a final or wear a cap and gown. With all that being said, what I do know is the Gospel. How to tell and show someone that they are desired from the one who made the moon and stars. I love God and I also love his people. I am so excited for this opportunity to go unto the nations and spread the Gospel!
