Wow! So traveling is finally over after what feels like a week of pure insanity! In reality it’s only been about two days I guess but at this point I barely even know what day it is. Talk about layovers, uncomfortable flights, jet lag, and bus rides. You know what, let me just expound upon that just a little bit. So we had to leave the hotel at 2am to check in to the airport, our flight left around 5:30am to Canada, which was a two hour flight and a five hour layover there. Then, we depart on our thirteen hour flight to Tokyo, Japan. Which, might I add, was an incredibly beautiful airport. Note: Sorry Atlanta you’re cool and all but Tokyo just put you to shame. Anyways, we were there for about two hours before an hour bus ride to our next stop where we waited for another two hours before our final six hour bus ride.

Soooo yeah I figured I would just bring you into a little bit of what it looked like for our travel day. Literally took me days before I could even know what day it was! Luckily, I thought ahead and changed my time zone to Japan so I could at least attempt to regulate my sleep schedule. BUT, in light of it all I’m in Japan and I love it here! We had the awesome opportunity to do a full squad month which is epic. So that’s 19 people in one place, HA, talk about full on community living. It’s also pretty incredible because we are able to do so many different ministries at the same time and reach different areas of the city. This is actually a pretty rare occurrence for the World Race but I’m grateful for every second of it.

I finally feel like I’m getting pretty acclimated to the culture here. I genuinely love it! Actually, when I really think about it, it fits my values pretty accurately. Relationships are key to the Japanese people here, and we’ve already been able to connect with a few people that we will be meeting with and continuing those relationships. Really expectant for what God is going to be doing in the next few weeks here in Japan!
