I’d like to start with a question. Do you abandon it all for the sake of the kingdom? Or do you settle for a comfortable, safe, easy lifestyle?
That’s something I HAD to face when I was presented with the opportunity to do the World Race. Racing thoughts with all of the “what ifs.” What if I don’t raise enough support money? What if people don’t approve of my decision? What about the career I’ve been trying to build? What if I’m not prepared for what it takes?
These were obstacles that I had to confront in my mind if I was going to be able to commit to this decision. The easy decision would have been to not say anything to anyone and continue my life and career. Okay I might have stretched the truth on that one. It was eating me inside! To NOT go for it would have been more straining on my spirit than facing all of the obstacles I faced within the battle of my mind.
BUT… Jesus is my savior, my deliverer, AND my provider! Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Every difficult decision or obstacle I faced was quelled with both the knowledge of who I personally know Jesus is, and that He will NEVER give up on me. He created me, put His breath in me, and gave me every single passion, desire, and dream that I have and I refuse to give anything less than my YES!
Have you given up on your passions and desires? Are you going to be content with doing whatever everyone else is doing? Or will you step out in faith and run towards your dream hand in hand with Jesus, our loving Father, Savior, and Redeemer? Is it always easy? No way. Does it usually require a sacrifice? Yessir. But… Is it worth it? 100% guaranteed! The Kingdom of God must be pursued by each and every one of us, no exceptions. You are NOT on this earth without a reason. Let’s holds hands together, seek the kingdom together, and love the world together and bring heaven to earth!
