Dear Friends & Family,

I hope you are doing well! I was dreading writing this letter because it feels like I am asking for money, but please don’t feel any obligation. I just want to share the next step in what God is doing in my life at the moment…

I have struggled for years with not knowing what direction to take my life in. I would bounce back and forth between career ideas but nothing felt right. It was extremely discouraging. About the only thing I was sure of was the desire to travel and show love to those around me. So this has taken a toll on me but I've learned a lot from the waiting, the wondering. It has taught me patience and that even though it may not feel like it, God may have me waiting so that a great plan can take place; one that I never saw coming. For a while I have been working at Starbucks, questioning why God wasn't showing me where to go. I was stagnant and feeling it. But in that time I've developed good friendships with some cool people. Then out of nowhere, a girl I went to high school with stops in where I work. I hadn't seen her in years and in catching up, she said she had recently returned from a trip with Worldrace.org. This trip was 11 months long and spread throughout 11 countries. On the trip we would do various outreaches, from construction projects to playing with children in local orphanages to living with gypsies and just showing Christ's love to them… and much more that would throw me wonderfully out of my comfort zone! It sounded awesome! So after work I went home and checked it out. I wanted in. It felt right. I decided to go ahead and apply, making the commitment that if God helped me accomplish this, I'd run toward it without holding back. A couple days after my interview, I got the call… I'm in! If God provides the support, I will step on a plane in January! The ball is rolling and I feel I now have a direction. The timing is perfect and I am in a great place to take the leap. He's actually been teaching me a lot about trusting His timing these past months. Hah, I am nervous, but I am so excited to learn and be changed in the process! Also I am excited to make a positive impact on those we'll meet and to grow close to those on my team!
