My name is Zachary Myers. At the time of leaving for this trip, I will be 18 years old. On May 4th, 2018, I will turn 19. I am originally from a little village of 900 residents called Annawan, IL, but I have moved multiple times in my life and I am currently living in Hillsdale, IL. However, I lived near Chicago for 3 years and I consider that to be my true home. Some quick fun facts about me include…
-Homeschooled for my entire life except 9th and 10th grade.
-Basketball player for seven years.
-I tore my ACL in April 2016, made a full recovery in four months, and went on to the National Homeschool Basketball Championship with my team in March 2017. We lost in the championship game. However God still took us all the way there and we gave Him all the glory for that!
-I can speak English fluently, Spanish conversationally, and I’ve studied American Sign Language, French, and Chinese for a year each. My goal is to speak seven languages fluently by the time I’m 30 years old.
-Speaking of languages, I have interest in becoming a multicultural missionary if that’s what God wants me to do with my life (part of the reason why I feel like God is leading me to this trip).
Thank you for taking the time to read my quick little introduction! If there’s one thing I could always use, it’s prayer. Prayer that God would:
A. Utilize myself and our group in the best way possible, according to His Will.
B. Spread the Word as much as possible through us, that others would come to know Him as their personal Savior.
C. Keep us safe through our travels as we go to different countries and communities around the world.
Thank you for all the support and I pray that God’s going to do amazing things on this trip!
