Isaiah 61:1
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Early in 2019, on a Friday evening, a young lady came up to share a word. As we all were soaking in the spirit, she began to speak out Isaiah chapter sixty one verse one. I knew father was speaking to me in this encounter. Going back to 2016, I began in prayer for God’s path for me. I was a senior at the time and God was using me right in my high school. During biology, a young man on crutches came in. He needed some help with his duffle bag and I approached him with help. As we were almost to his class room, I began to pray over his injury. He told me “No one has prayed over me.” A couple weeks later he comes up to me with His profession in Jesus Christ. The smallest acts can sometimes make the biggest impact. In 2015 I met a homeless Jewish man. The father told me to give him my meal and to pray for him. I found out that he goes by Bob. He was a veteran living On the streets of Houston. Bob had cancer spreading through out his entire body. As I started to sit with him more,  the love of Jesus became transparent to me. Even though he was a non-professing Jew, I saw Christ moving in his life. The homeless men around him prayed for a car and God delivered. Bob was seeing things being brought to life in Jesus name. The last time I was with Bob was in hospice dying on his bed. I asked bob if I can share the gospel of Jesus with him. He insisted and he listened until the words were finished. My mother weeks later received a message stating Bob has passed away. We will never know the power of Yahweh until we step out of comfortability. Early this week on a Monday, a couple came in asking for food. I just got out of a meeting with my pastor. I started to talk with them and they explained their situation with food stamps. Mrs. Kelly arrived with the food and we began to pray over them. The lady started weeping telling us her father just passed away. It startled me, because she was holding in her pain and grief. We began to pray over her with comfort from the father and to know they are loved dearly. The father heals the broken hearted. God sets captives free from physical or spiritual bondage. He proclaims good news to the lowly and provides us with freedom in Christ from our iniquities. I pray as we venture into this new year, everyone going on the world race receives Boldness in Jesus Christ. To those who read this blog, your mission is right where you are!
