Well Hello everyone! I’m Kari, living in Seattle, WA, up at 0330 in the morning because i’m too excited about the trip to get to sleep! I just figured out how this site works and have read through everything and am learning a lot. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us, i got all your pictures printed out so i can make a prayer board and pray for each of you individually but the photo quality was horrible so i’m trying to cut and paste everyone’s photo’s from their bio online and do it on the computer instead. It’s been great getting to know you all from your bio’s and your pictures and i’m so excited to be communicating with you all over the next few months until we get the chance to meet. You all make me laugh with your posts you have written so far… i have a few random questions…
How old are you all? I’m 28
Do any of you own homes? What are you going to do with them when you are gone? I am trying to decide between renting mine out while i’m gone to be a good steward of what God has provided me with or just selling it (and incurring pretty large penalty fees) to follow the example of the bible and get rid of it all and go.
I have not yet been on a mission trip so i know NOTHING about mission work.. I am going to Kenya in August for 3 weeks so that will be good i will get a little bit of experience.. i never would have thought about getting an international adapter for a power cord… where would i find one of those? i have a digital camera but it’s not that small, should i get a new one? what about bringing laptops? how much are we actually allowed to pack?
Eric – I LOVE that poster idea you came up with … I had actually been working one very similar to that to post but I got great ideas from yours.. I LOVE the idea!! Great job.
May God bless us all as we prepare for His journey…
Kari
