OK, time for MY amazing God-story…or two!
On my way home on the plane I had a great convo with the guy next to me. I told him all about what I had been doing for the two weeks prior to boarding the plane and why and he was really excited! He asked that I pray for his daughter, Alexandra because she is only 6 and was recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. They recently moved to Houston from PA for the warmer climate so she could be well. It was a great God-portunity (how cheesy is that??) to tell about HIS faithfulness and heart for the nations.
THEN…our receptionist at work is out today so a temp is answering the phones. We struck up a conversation and asked how long I had been w/ the company (which is always a really good opportunity to tell people when and why I’ll be leaving the company!). I told her that I would be leaving to go on a Christian mission trip (I usually specify so people don’t think I’m mormon or something) around the world for 11 months!! She immediately grabbed my hand and started praying blessing over me and the trip! It was so cool; she got so excited for me and was SO encouraging. I emailed her all the pertinent links including the $$ link. cha-ching.
Other than these tid-bits, I’m just back to work and doing the every-day stuff…that is so mundane after training… I am really feeling the void; particularly when I’m in my apartment alone. I miss you guys and wish I had all of you to play some impromptu ultimate Frisbee!!
