Please check this site daily, as there will be different excerpts as we,
as a team,
go through the full armor of God. This is a team building requirement. Please take the time to input. This is for fun and for unity, so please participate.

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand” Ephesians 6:11-13.

Q. How do we put on the Armor of God?

A. Daily absorbing Scriptural truth, living in obedience, sharing the Gospel, and trusting Christ.

The Armor of God is spiritual armor. Only when we apply it is when we will be able to overcome temptations and be coherent to the enemy’s schemes. God has intended for us to be fully equipped for the battle. I heard from sooo many people, preachers included, that God does not have armor for our backside so RUN to the battle face forward, never run away. (As if running away would represent a spiritual pansy and not a fearless Christian.) In Isaiah 52, the writer writes, ”

But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your
rear guard.”

The Bible says that we do not fight against flesh and blood. This is because flesh and blood have no power. They are powered by “a” source. What is your source of strength and power?

The Psalmist writes,
“The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.”

David knew the source of his power – the Lord God Almighty. Through sin, doubts, lions, bears, and many Goliaths, he pressed in and daily suited up. He saw a need and a cause; therefore, he pursued. In 1 Samuel 17, you will find the most amazing display of “The Armor of God” in action. My favorite part of this is when Saul put
his armor on David, and David could not where it because it did not fit. His armor was faith.

Do you know your own personal armor? We are all different. Do you know your red flags? Have you inventoried your soft spots lately? For every temptation, we are provided a way out. What is your escape route?
