I would like to reiterate how stoked I am about this trip. As “weird” as it seems to some people I know, (some of which are even in my own family) the freedom that the WR offers makes my endorphins run amuck. I’m excited about dropping everything to follow the Lord. I can’t wait to get out from behind my little walled-in desk and seek opportunities to love on kids that never get to hear a soft word spoken to them. The anticipation of meeting all of you and going out to encourage fellow believers with you gives me joy.
Even some of the tedious details and decisions I have to make seem minute when I remember WHY we’re going…and WHO has called us. I have felt a restlessness in my bones for too long. A deep-down desire to love those that He loves that is unquenchable. I pray that these desires are never quenched– and that the fire in me, that the Lord has lit to see the nations come to know Him grows with each passing hour. Speaking of the nations:
God reigns over the
nations; God is seated on his holy throne. Psalm 47:8
I will praise you, O Lord, among the
nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. Psalm 57:9
..that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all
nations. Psalm 67:2
and finally
All the
nations you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord; they will bring glory to your name. Psalm 86:9
