God is amazing! My little sister Kelly (the one I asked you to pray for) has struggled with depression/suicide and various other super hard things for 8 years. Lately she’s been thirsty for God, but it was today in church that the Lord really spoke to her. The pastor spoke on Paul’s thorn in the flesh and strength in weakness. It was through the Word that Kelly realized that maybe the Lord has allowed this in her life to use it for good! She’s always thought that she was a bad person, and now she’s realizing God’s grace and that He loves her. She told me how James 1:2, talking about trials, has really helped her.
Guys, I’ve been praying for her for years. I’ve seen the pain she’s gone through, I’ve cried with her, and now I’m able to see her trust the Lord with this thing that has been her thorn! He’s so good and faithful. What I also love is His timing. The main thing I’ve worried about being gone this next year is her having no one to go to when things get hard. Now she recognizes that she has Jesus to turn to.
