Hey everyone – I don’t know if you all check the B blog, but I thought we ought to join in prayer with Mallorie and the team. She posted this the other day –
9/25/06 “My family and I took my grandma to the hospital two days ago (which in itself is not out of the ordinary). However, it was determined that she is suffering from congestive heart failure. Basically, in order to fix her heart, they would have to perform open heart surgery, and she is simply too weak to survive the procedure. So the doctors have discontinued treatment and have concentrated their efforts on making her comfortable. We don’t know how much time we have with her. Maybe hours. Maybe days. I have spent the last 24 hours with her and will be returning shortly. This was rather unexpected, and we were always very close. I believe that her relationship with God is personal, but I am not sure. Please pray for my grandma (Doris) as you feel led, and for my family (as we are emotionally and physically exhausted). Thank you.
I love you all.”9/26/06 “I love you guys! I will be posting again soon when I have some more time. Also, I would love prayer calls, but keep in mind that I am currently spending my time at the hospital (see comment on Chad’s article) and will probably be having a funeral for my grandma soon. Oh, and I’m also getting my wisdom teeth cut out on monday. – I will be praying for you all. Satan irritates me with his feeble attempts to discourage us. We will not be discouraged! (Is 41:10 – thanks james) Please continue to lift me up in prayer. I have spent the last 48-plus hours at my grandma’s bedside and haven’t slept much. Pray for her passing, and for my family. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.”
