Well hello all! I have been attending some seminars at my church and really been dealing with this issue in my life of reliance on Christ for any number of things whether it be financial provision or just worried thoughts about anything regarding this journey we are embarking on.
So, I saw an excerpt from a Gary Smalley talk the other day where it quoted the scripture Luke 8:22a I had never paid much attention to it but just thought God was so amazing to calm the wind and the storm (its the storm story) but what that verse says is
“One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake…””
So then the storm comes and Jesus is asleep, the disciples freak out and wake him up and all is OK when Jesus commands the storm to stop. What Smalley said was that Jesus said that they were going to go to the other side of the lake, so that means they will all get there. That was so huge for me!! Those disciples could have been hanging off the mast of the ship, or diving in the water, becuase they
KNEW that they were in His hands!!! God has told me that I am going on this trip around the world, I will go, there is no question about that. Why do I doubt Him for any provision that I may need?? He has told me that its gonna happen, and God does not lie!!!
