I seriously can’t wait for January to come around and to meet each and everyone of you! It’s going to be amazing! It’s been so awesome reading up about everyone and all the posts. It’s a bummer that no one else is from Arizona or New Mexico cuz I would love to meet up with someone from the trip. So I guess I’m going to have to rely on these posts and email to get to know people.
Another thing that has been exciting is reading how many of you all have been to Kenya!!!!! Is it not one of greatest places on this planet?!?! I would love to hear from those of you who went there and to hear about where you all went and what you all did. Nakupenda sana Kenya!
Any who, I thought it would be cool to start getting to know things about people and to see what things we have in common other than the fact that we are about to experience a wild and crazy adventure together in the name of Christ and that we all love God. So what do you all like to listen to? I’m a huge fan of Caedmon’s Call, Shane & Shane, Justin Barnard, Jars of Clay, Nichole Nordeman, The Format, Jack Johnson, David Crowder, Supertones, Relient K, Mercy Me, and Chris Tomlin.
Also I thought it would be cool to start praying for everyone. So what do you all need prayer about and it doesn’t specifically have to be about the trip??? Lord knows we all need lots of prayer! Um… something that I definitely need prayer about is this summer. I”m going to be leading Mexico Mission trips this summer for junior high and high school age kids. Please be praying for these kids that their lives will be changed and affected by our Holy and Most Powerful God and for me to not make my focus about what I’m doing as in being this good Christain leader, but about my relationship with God. So much of the time my focus stops being about God and it starts becoming about my job or about maintaining this “good Christian” image. So if you all could be praying about that for me, I would be deeply appreciate it.
