Here I go…trying my hand at this blogging thing. I wrote one on my personal World Race page until I realized I should post them for you all to see. I never thought I would be one to have a blog. I enjoy reading the blogs of other people because they either are hilariously funny, very thought provoking, or I just read them out of guilt (family members;), but I never thought I would have my own. I guess this trip is full of all new experiences so this is one of them:)
This is the time of year for open houses. My brother graduated from high school today. Yesterday as well as the next few Saturdays will be spent eating lots of other people’s free food. I really enjoyed yesterday. These open houses have given me an excellent opportunity to connect with people that I haven’t seen in a long time. I was able to talk to many people about the World Race and even got offers to help support me financially. I continue to realize how blessed I am to have the support of family and friends as well as acquaintances and even people that don’t know me at all. This week, my supervisor at work was telling her friend about me participating in the World Race. I have never met this friend of hers, but she told my supervisor that she would like to support me financially in this trip. Each day I continue to be blessed in one way or another. I am so grateful for opportunities such as these. I can’t wait to see all the blessings that occur in and through us in the next 18 months.
