A couple of you have asked for the questions we talked about at debrief.  Thought this would be as good a place as any to put them up if you would like them.  Praying that you all are doing well.

Questions

TRIP

* Write a summary of each country.  Review your journals, look at your pictures or look at your souveniers.  Think back to your emotional state, lessons you learned, things you remember (get detailed – the little things matter!) people you met, places you went.  Talk about your team dynamics, debrief, fun things, hard things etc.

YOU

* Talk about yourself – how have you changed?  What have you learned?  Describe yourself and who you are now.  What things are you proud of?  What things would you have done differently?  What did you learn about God?  What did you learn about missions or ministry?  What did you learn about your personality, quirks, needs, wants, giftings or callings?

ISSUES

* Think about the things that are important to you.  Focus on the external needs you witnessed this year.  What things can’t you forget?  What horrified you?  What made you feel?  What pictures are etched into your brain?  Who impacted you, surprised you, moved you or loved you this year?  What do you wish more people at home knew about the world?

FUTURE

*  What’s next? (Everybody’s already asking, best actually think about it)  What produces anxiety for you as you look ahead?  What are you looking forward to?  What’s confusing about your next step?  After a year of World Race, what things will you incorporate into your life from now on?  What kinds of things, activities, relationships, etc. do you want to be a part of your life from this point forward?  What (if anything) changed about your personal vision for your future?  What things need to be weeded out, changed, tweaked, discarded or revamped?

QUESTIONS

What’s unanswered for you at this point?  What questions (theological, philosophical, practical, etc.) are still floating around in your head?  What confuses you?  What infuriates you?  What unsettles you?

For any of you who did life planning with me, the rules still apply: This is not comprehensive, it’s relevant.  Don’t catalogue everything, if you think about it, it’s important – write it out, talk it out, think it through.  There is NO time frame for this stuff to be processed, there is no expectation for being okay or having all the answers.  Go ahead and let yourself think, feel, remember but always: trust God.  Depend on Christ to help you through this process.  The next season is right around the corner (and may be closer than you think).  Enjoy the time you have to rest and trust Him for open doors and the moving of the Spirit to the next thing.

Love you guys!
