I was just sitting outside on my lunch break. You know when it is about to thunderstorm and half the sky is sunny and blue and you look behind you and it is all dark and rumbly? I love that. But I was journaling and writing a list of all my concerns and praises regarding our trip next year. And the last thing I wrote under all my requests was for God to exceed my expectations in all the things I laid before him. Whether it be provision financially, spiritually, emotionally, etc…I believe our God is a God of muchness. The same God who made that thunder I was smiling at is the same God who has us in his hands. I believe that even more than just asking God for things for next year…we should expect him to EXCEED our desires. I think he loves to LAVISH his greatness, power and resources on his people. All he wants us to do is ask..and expect much.
I’m excited for next year beyond belief. Every time I read an update from this years team, I want to jump out of my skin, get on a plane and be there now. But I’m even more excited for the faith journey he is taking us all on. Know I’m praying for you all by name and I can’t wait to share the same excitement for the Lord’s work with you all.
