James posted this on Team B’s site, was thinking we should talk about it as well (I know some have already) and then we could coordinate with Team B.  Much love to ya’ll.

Hey All

First off, I got my pack! I won in on Ebay and it is normally like $300 but I got it for $125! Yippee skippee! Ok enough with the freakin’ exclamation points James -you look like a dork. Anyways, I am stoked that I finally got something for the race after how many months. Sorry guys but that is one of my downfalls of being part beaver- I love to research everything and then make a decision so be aware of that. BUt anyways we had our team conference call and I was elected to talk to y’all about books. I am a book nut! I love them and probably this will be harder for me to sacrifice than being away from my parents. I know that really sucks, but I am being honest. I love books (I love me parents too by the way). So we were talking about everyone who wants to read, maybe bringing a really deep book that you can munch on mentally and then possibly a more light-hearted book as well. If you only want to bring one then that is fine, but you will be beaten with thirty nine lashes from a cat-o-nine. So maybe as people start figuring out what they want to bring they can list is somewhere (possibly here?) so that everyone knows not to bring that particular book. We can exchange books within the team and then exchange them with the bigger squad during the monthly meetings. I think that is a jolly swell idea, so if you are onboard let me know and tell me what books you want to bring. If you want to bring something personal that you don’t want to share (like some love letters that you had bound into a leather-edition book), that is fine too, just let me know that so we don’t go handing it out.

One idea I did have for the light-hearted reading was that maybe if a lot of people wanted to have the Chronicles of Narnia series, it would be cool if we only had to bring one book per person since they are small paperbacks. We would need seven? people to have those or three people to bring more. I love the Chronicles so this is just a suggestion. I am in, if anyone else wants to do it too. If not, I will just curl up into a fetal position on my bed and cry and then be okay with it. Or I will bring them all anyways, just to spite you. Either way, we all win. So drop me a note my peeps! Whoop whoop represent!
