A lot of this will be repeat information for those of you who have read my About Me section of my page, but I wanted to have something on the front page!
So this is a treat! Thanks for coming on board. It’s an honor to have you care about me and this mission.
For the last several years I have lived, worked, and built community in Columbia, South Carolina. I have often thought about what it looks like to go on long term mission, and now as a single man I am choosing this year to see what that would look like fleshed out.
In my adulthood I have found as I grow that I love to work with my hands and eyes, developing skills that are both artistic and practical. I have studied under a carpenter, been mentored by a photographer, and gone four consecutive years to Alaska to commercial fish the salmon season. I work consistently managing a Starbucks to fuel all of my other pursuits.
Columbia has seen many highs and a lot of challenging growth for me. Through it I have gained an incredible community through Midtown Fellowship. I have learned to lean into the hard and be needy for Jesus in the midst of it all. It is a hope that this adventure will be a continued place for using the gifts I’ve been given as well as learning about my faith, myself, and the joy of marrying those two things in truth.
