Hey all, sorry for the delay on the updated trench video..   Lots more work has been done since this video. We are finished with the 300’+ worth of widening the trench. We are beginning work on the depth. Our contact here in San Juan is named Miguel, and he has hopes and dreams of raising GuatchuPita up to be not just receivers of the word, but senders of missionaries. He has high hope in this place, and his heart is passionate. He just had a baby today, the 24th. We aren’t sure whether it is a boy or girl just yet as they did not know, and we have not seen the kid nor Miguel and Kristen today.

We are also continuing VBS with the kids of GuatchuPita, and today 2 of the kids, a brother and sister gave their lives to Christ! I don’t know the girls name, but the boys name I believe is Erin. Spent the rest of the day speaking life into the people, and met a girl whose name I cannot pronounce, but our girls sat with her and spoke life and encouragement into her for almost an hour. The girl is 20 years old, and is a Christian. She has no one her age that she can have fellowship with, and many of her friends prostitute themselves out just to put food on the table. She is lonely. She needs her friends to rise up and repent. She is an outgoing, funny girl who loves and trusts the lord. Pray for her and pray that the hearts of the girls in her circle will see the light through her!

That 24 year old William, who God placed on my heart over and over, I have only seen him twice in my life and my heart is burdened for him! He knows of God, yet chooses not to walk in the light. He lives with his girlfriend/wife, and the first time I met him he was bragging about his 2 month old. She was adorable in the pictures he showed me. I saw him a few days ago as the rain came down and he began to tell me that the little girl died on Monday. She was sick and they had no money for a doctor. My heart is even more burdened for William.. I feel God is calling him to change his life. I feel like God has BIG plans for William. Pray for him, and his wife.

Our team is getting sick. Many of us have amoebas, and are not doing well! Krystel on my team was hospitalized for a night, and few others on other teams have been getting checked out and one has been in the hospital for 2 days with over 40 ameobas in his body. I have been blessed so far, specially for the work we have done and the things I have eaten.. I have not been sick at all! (THANK YOU JESUS!) Pray for our health!

We are here in San Juan for one more week, then we will be headed back to Santo Domingo only to turn back around and head for Haiti. I am unsure of where I will be once we head that way. I should know in a few days. (Hoping for mountain village hopping, as it would get us away from the cities and into our tents. Don’t know how my team feels about that… MOOHAHA But still pray for it!)

Last 2 things.. I promise! Michelle Smith and I bought 2 live chickens in hopes of preparing them with a lady named Elizabeth. She lives in GuatchuPita. We are supposed to go there tomorrow at 9am and I found out this morning that somehow her prayers have been answered. When we first met, I asked her what her dream was, and she told me it was to go to New York. Somehow by the grace of God, she is headed for New York, and will not be around to cook my chickens! So Juanita and Alfred (the chickens) will be cooked without her.

I love you all and miss you a ton! Talk to you soon!
