Dude.. good news,
we were talking to this guy named Mijeetsu for the
last few days and just pouring out the Gospel to him. He was convinced
that God existed, that Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose 3
days later. He was convinced that all things of the bible are true. But
he was also convinced there was no heaven. That this life was all there
was.
We couldnt help but have broken hearts for him. Here is a man probably
70 years old, can’t read, lives in a small shack that has holes in the
roof and he is convinced that “this” is the best life has to offer
him…
Today we preached to him straight from the bible.
John 14 1-4:
Jesus
says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in
me. In my Fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have
told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you
also may be where I am. You know the way to the place I where I am
going.”
We asked him why would Jesus die for our sins if it changed nothing for us on this earth?
There is hope and promise of heaven. He had a hard time comprehending life after death.
John 3:16: (Paraphrased) “Who ever believes in me shall not perish but have eternal life”
We prayed with him each day for the last 3 days, and talked with him
for the last 3 days, and tonight when we left, he told us he is excited
about going to heaven…
Tell me God does not bring joy and hope for
the hopeless! Tell me God does not answer prayer! Tell me that God is
not real and I will introduce you to a man named Mijeetsu…
