I’m fully funded!!
In 1st Thessalonians Paul says to be thankful in all circumstances, and I think in this season the Lord keeps on reminding me to be thankful all the time. As I begin a new season, a season of going, a season of adventure and un comfort, I want to share ways the Lord has blessed me.
I’ve been incredibly blessed by my community. People who speak life into me and believe in me. Words of encouragement from my peers that have never felt more sincere. I’m so thankful for the people closest to me and the way they make me want to pursue the Lord more deeply.
This year the Lord told me to seek out people my age to donate. He told me to bring fundraising to social media, asking for people to just donate small amounts of money. Over 50 donations came in within days! Almost all from people my age.
There were several crazy holy spirit moments that are too good not to share. Here are some of the ways God showed up for the donations I received.
- Minutes after a girl got her flight utilization from her mission trip last June, she got on Instagram and saw my post about fundraising for team leading. She felt like God was telling her to give it to me, and in obedience she did.
- Another post read “crazy Holy Spirit stuff right here- was about to donate $5 to you when out of nowhere, at the exact time I as going to press “pay” my aunt sends me $100 to do whatever I want with. well, I don’t believe that was a coincidence at all.”
- The family that fully funded me donated the day before I launched, and when I thanked them I told them and the husband said “Well, that’s God’s timing” God had told him out of the blue to track down the email I sent to him months ago.
The Lord showed me so much of His kindness through fundraising. Abba keeps on reminding me how proud He is of me. Before I did anything, before I even spoke a word, He was pleased with me; and to be reminded of that before I set off on this journey feels like it’s all I could ever ask for.
I’m incredibly thankful for this season, no matter how many times I complain about fundraising or pray that I don’t have to fundraise my salary. I’m thankful because He reminded me once again that He keeps his promises, and even after all the stress of fundraising for literally 23 consecutive months, I would do it all again if it meant knowing that the Lord takes care of me.
Thank you for everyone who has supported me in any way. If you want to continue you can do so through prayer.
