Whoa! Haven’t written a blog in a while. I’ve done a few portraits of people i’ve met and the testimony’s that come from them, but I have to apologize for not keeping all of you more up to date on what i’ve been up to.
January was a month of men’s ministry- or more commonly known as manitry. All 11 of the men on Gap M squeezed into a 2 bedroom house and partnered with a ministry called high adventures ministry. It’s a dream and I’m so excited to share stories all of you.
My last blog was all about worthiness and how worthy I am to use the gifts the Lord has blessed me with. This month I really got to use those gifts and grow in them with an incredible group of men.
We had a few days in Kathmandu where we got to intercede and pray at buddhist temples, visited an orphanage, and an old ladies home.
Our first expedition was to Chitwan- an 8 hour bus ride turned into the worst 16 hour bus ride, filled with bumps, ladies puking, and constantly being pressed against another body. But we made it to the jungle to our little cabin. Foggy, cold, and with no electricity, this little village is where we spent 10 days. In Chitwan I got to teach and disciple the local pastors who really don’t have the kind of resources to be effective fishers of men. We taught simple fundamentals, worship songs, and got to encourage them.
One of the highlights of the trip for me was visiting a man and his wife who were former witch doctors. We got to talk to him about his faith and after 4-5 years of turning his back on God he rededicated his life to Christ. (Made a short podcast, full story at www.vimeo.com/253570276 ).
Several of my teammates prayed healing over a woman who was paralyzed on her entire right side. She felt like she was a burden to her family because she couldn’t do anything to help and required assistance all the time. My teammates placed hands on her, prayed in Jesus’s name and when they where done her paralysis was gone. A real life miracle. God is good!!
After a few days in Kathmandu we left for our next trip, trekking from village to village around Pokhara. Staying at villagers houses, we truly got to experience their culture first hand. The Buddhist family who hosted us one night cooked us a meal and let us share the gospel with them, and they decided to dedicate their lives to the Living God, the One True God.
This blog doesn’t even begin to sum up all the glory that was shown this month but I hope that this can fill people in on my life.
Nepal has been incredible and we’ve been extremely blessed to see so much fruit through evangelism and miracles.
Ministry was so good to me. It was restful but at the same time I experienced so much growth spiritually. I gained a lot of wisdom through being poured into by my peers. I’m extremely thankful for what will probably be the best month of the race and I can’t wait to apply all that was learned into whatever comes in the future.
