Zoa.
This Greek word means “to bring new life” or “to be full of life”.
Back in October at training camp, my team decided this would be our team name, Zoa. We wanted this to be an example of the new life through Jesus that we would be bringing to the nations. But little did we know, that this team name would have a much more personal and profound meaning.
It is hard to accurately explain and put together what has happened here at Launch the past few days. In a nutshell is has been powerful. We have been given great advice, necessary information, and practiced scenarios in order to be prepared for potential situations on the Race. Beyond the administrative and logistical side, The Lord has given me a new courage and peace about the next 11 months. He has strengthened me and reminded me that If I allow Him to guide me, that I will be able to effectively serve and Lead my team well. I am so excited for the 6 people that I get to serve, love on and do life with for a season. It will not be effortless, but its going to be wonderful in the long run. We have just started what I believe will be an amazing and powerful family and community.
Last night one of the AIM staff members prophesied over our team, and said that Zoa stood for more than the life we would be taking to the nations. It represented the new life that our Father was birthing inside each and everyone of us. A new life of traveling, walking and depending on him. A season of life full of things we never imagined we would experience.
Tomorrow, we leave the good ol US of A. We fly out of Atlanta at 3pm and have connecting flights to Detroit, Amsterdam, Kenya and finally Malawi where we will take a bus to our ministry site in Zambia. We aren’t sure exactly what our ministry will be, but I have heard from some other Racers who have been there and they said it was amazing. Keep us in your prayers as we travel!
Thank you for our prayers. Thank you for your support. This is not possible with out all of y’all.
