The green, mountainous region of the Mongolian Country side is something truly spectacular to behold. Pictures simply cannot do the views justice. Compare those views side by side with the hustle and chaotic bustle, and the very simple conditions, of Ulong Bataar, Mongolias capital city, and the contrast is shocking and glaring. Vibrant colors and breathtaking views right next to smog, blaring horns and a plethora of smells. Natural, Creator born beauty, surrounding a small pocket of manmade infrastructure. I have never seen anything quite as awe inspiring as the 360 degree view of the Mongolian Mountains that I witnessed yesterday. This truly feels like Gods country, if there is such a place that He prefers above others, and this is my home for a month.

We have been in Mongolia for about a week now and we have already participated in a time of all night prayer with some of our contacts and a two day, over night adventure in the countryside where we dug a drainage ditch and a squatty potty for some churches. It has been great. It has been so beautiful. The spiritual atmosphere here is so light and accepting. It feels so free, and that is huge refreshment to my soul after six months of ministry in countries that are spiritually oppressed, depressed or under attack in some way or another. I honestly never imagined that I would visit a place like this, and so far, it has been quite nice. This weekend we get to participate in Nadam, Mongolia’s’ huge yearly national festival ( what lucky timing!) and next weekend we are going to help out at a youth retreat where we get to camp out on the river for 3 days. Truly exciting stuff.

The Lord has awakened so many new things in my heart and soul this year; a desire to be selfless in all things ( still working on that one ), a passion for global missions and the Local Church across America to cultivate a strong bond, and a passion and a heart for worship and a desire to serve Him in it and grow in it. In the midst of it all, He brings me to a place of such beauty that World Racers have never been to, and like an artist showing off a beautiful piece, says,

“Stop, take a moment to look at what I have created and be amazed.”

We truly serve an awesome, majestic and loving God and this absolutely is a land that He smiles upon.
