I leave in 3 days. I still don’t fully grasp the weight behind that statement. I don’t think I really will until I reach month three or four. What I do know is that one of my wildest dreams is about to come true, to travel the world, and to think I get to do this for the glory of our Father in heaven! Our hearts desires truly become His desires.
I don’t know what is in store for me over the next 11 months, or the lifetime I will live after that, but I do know that I will live and savor every moment because this life is just a whisper.
I will savor every bite of strange food I take.
I will relish every moment ( good and tough ) living in authentic community
I will wake up daily, expecting The Lords presence to go wherever my feet touch the ground
I will throw my heart and soul into investing in my team and the people we go to serve
And when I come home, I will gladly embark on the adventure that is to be the rest of my life
I know most of you reading this are not about to go on a journey around the world with Jesus like I am, but that doesn’t mean He doesn’t have a journey planned just for you, right where you are. Wake up and ask the Lord to use you today. Show someone love. Devour every sunset. Remember every smile. Wait for the Lord expectantly and Live your life. No one else is going to do it for you.
