It has been a while since my last blog, and the reason is because of this video I have been editing. I made it as a tool to be used in the hands of God, to help get me where I need to be. The closer I get to graduation, the closer I get to everything I know changing.

I am becoming more and more aware of the open space in my mind where my goals, and desires should go, but the more I realize it is there, the more I am able to fill it. I have slowly but surely been putting God not only in that space but every space in my mind and heart.

I recently visited North Platte NE, to talk to a couple of families that I cabin led for. The meeting went really well, and I was extremely encouraged by the way that they had received me. I attended church at North Platte Berean the next day and the message Lit my want to serve on fire. First Pastor Stone went over the parable of the Lamp on a stand, then the parable of the growing seed, then the parable of the mustard seed, and finally reviewed the parable of the sower.

What I took away from his message, is that to be a Christian is to witness like a sower of seeds. We scatter our message to everyone, not the people who we feel will grow, only God knows where the seed will grow, we distribute it to everyone. We will not hide our light under a basket. After we have skattered that seed, we must remember Mark 4: 27 “Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.” God grows the seeds our words plant in a persons heart.

It. Is. Not. Our. Job. To. Save.

My whole experience in North Platte shined with the love of Christ, and it is obvious Jesus is present. But it put a question in my mind. Am I exampling that same love I’d just been shown. The answer was no.

The first thing I did the next day was take a guy to coffee and share the Gospel with him. My missions field doesn’t start once I leave U.S. soil, it’s now it’s always been, my mission field is everyone who can hear or see me.

If my life revolves around God, then it relies on serving those in need, whether that is on a different continent, or if it’s a man laying on the street.

A prayer request for me for all who read this:

God let me be your hands and feet, let me serve you in everything, and finally, give me hardship, so that I may trust in you and glorify you through it.
