I plan on this
blog being short, sweet, and hopefully followed by something impacting of funny
in the next few days. This blog is
titled what it is for a reason: sickness is plaguing this team at times.
We’ve had a rule
with the two teams working in Puerto Barrios these last two weeks: if you’re
too sick to go out, then don’t. We
never want to abuse this, but we have to listen to our bodies sometimes. I don’t think our team has left whole
since day 1.
Tuesday was my
day and I couldn’t even put up a fight when my team told me to stay back. I laid down for almost a full 24
hours. I think there was some sort
of stomach virus working its way through each of us. After a full day of a few of our teammates disinfecting
everything, it may be defeated…
Anyway, I say all
this because sickness is a real hindrance on the race, and to be completely
honest, a real pain in the…(ha, little pun for NEON). I know the other teams
around Guatemala are getting hit just as hard, if not harder along with us.
We prayed over
our squad the other day, and I request you to join us. Sickness I’m sure will trail us all
year because I know that’s how Satan will have to attack us if he can’t hit us
directly. So please join us and
pray for the health of our squad and its continued ministry.
