As of this morning, our team, Hot Mess officially became REV217. Without getting into too much detail, I’ll tell you that Christine has gone back home in true obedience. This does not mean that we’re weaker in any way. We are all behind in her decision and very proud of the way she humbled herself, shared with what was on her heart, and blessed us through this experience.
Christine, I will miss you, but I am rejoice in the plans that God has for you back home. I am excited to see how you will affect your family, friends, and supporters back home. Thank you for all that you did for our team, squad, and me. God bless you!
REV217 comes from Revelations 2:17, which reads:
“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the
Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone
who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden
away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the
stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the
one who receives it.” NLT

Our team will stay together with Brad as our new leader. He was always on my list of potential leaders I’d like to have since training camp, so it’s not a huge shock to have him named to take over the team. He brings wisdom, white-boy rhythm, humour, and lots of other great leadership qualities.
Please continue to pray for our new team, and Christine, for our new journies ahead. October is now over, and in 6 days, we’ll be leaving for Nicaragua.

Last night wasn’t Halloween, but I dressed up for it for the very first time. I was a cowboy. The toy guns, holsters, and shriff badge was $2. We also ate Guatemala candy. 🙂
