There have been several changes to the races. “Drastic,” as Weston has put it.

First off, there are 7 brand new teams, and new team leaders. The leadership have been praying about this for months, and after the initial shock, I believe the shuffle is good for everyone, including me. I will miss my REV217 team, but I am very excited about the new team. We don’t have a team name picked yet, but we have our new team leader, Kelsi Dawe (aka KDD), Sydnee Mela, Annie Walker, Tyson Payne, and myself. Another team of 5.

My goal is to apply all that I’ve experienced and learned over the past 7 months, and apply them in myself, and my team. Our new team is in Calabar, on the East coast of Nigeria. It’s been quite peaceful so far, a big difference from Lagos, which is crazy hectic/busy. As for our ministry, we are working with Rev./Dr. Mike, a former veterinarian, in producing radio and tv programs that the church produces.

Secondly, I have stepped down from the logistics position. It’s a long story, and I don’t have much time online right now, but it’s a very good thing that I’m no longer occupied with it. I am handling the finances for my new team though. I can focus more on my time with God and my new team.

Finally, Courtney MacLellan, my Canadian counterpart, has gone home for medical reasons. Several people have contracted malaria, other diseases, and various illnesses, and West Africa is one of the worst places for anything medical. I truly believe that the squad is under attack from the devil. In case you were wondering, I’m very healthy.
