Hi, I am Will Gibbs and this is my blog about the Worldrace, an 11 month long missions trip around the world. I am endeavoring on the Worldrace to see the world change and to experience change within myself. I started this blog to illuminate the journey of a participant and to assist those who wish to help me, other participants, or those we encounter.
Like I said above, my name is Will. I was fortunate enough to be raised in an awesome and eccentric family in the greatest state America has to offer (Tennessee!). I cannot express how much I love my family and my friends; they are all uniquely incredible people. They are not my greatest passion though; my heart belongs to God. I rejoice in my continually growing relationship with Him, a relationship that has led me to participate in the Worldrace.
My church (University Christian Church in Manhattan, KS. Check it out you will love it!) often expresses “Know. Worship. Go.” and I pray that I experience each of these exponentially over the next 8 months leading up to the trip and the 11 months during the trip. I desire to Know my Father at another level, Worship Him to exhaustion, and Go serve a world that has not yet realized how much they thirst and hunger for the Lord.
I am so excited to see what God has planned for this unworthy servant and am extraordinarily thankful to be a passenger as He guides my life. So, if you want to support my journey and the journey of my teammates I would appreciate your prayers, tax deducible donations (click the “Support the Trip” link), words of encouragement, or whatever you can think of. To send those words of encouragement, comment on my posts or click the “E-mail Me” link. Wish me Luck!
Will
